The ‘Downriver’ campus is the fastest-growing location in the Baker College system, with an enrollment that’s grown nearly 500% since 2003. RIT’s IdeaLab program brings together multidisciplinary student teams with organizations that are looking to solve a problem. The students work with the organization to find a solution that may ultimately lead to a prototype or new business. Faced with a blood transportation issue, Rochester Regional Health System brought its problem to IdeaLab and a group of students developed a solution for the phlebotomy department’s homedraw division.
